i am very excited and feel it's a great honor to stand here to deliver my speech. what i'm going to talk about is "choice in my life"
i can still remember the first time i failed in a singing contest. i immediately ran to my grandma, shedding lots of tears of course! i cried loudly and could hardly utter a word!
then, badly needed comforting words and touch came from grandma. i gradually regained my sense of pride and a sensible control of my feelings. yet, head down, i said: "grandma, i have no choice, and i have to give up, right?" "look at me, my dear!"she said gently. i looked up, straight into her eyes. what i saw was a shining, sweet, and loving stream from the bottom of her heart! then, there came the gentle voice of hers: "no, no, no…" her head shaking, while eyes smiling. "why don't you give more attention to the details?" she continued.
no other words were needed any more! i started practicing and rehearsing once again, paying special attention to those little things that i used to ignore. as a consequence, my overall performance was quickly elevated to a new high! without much trouble, in another singing contest held months later, i won!
what do i learn from this experience? never give up lightly! life's full of opportunities, and lots of them! to realize your dreams and fulfill your potential, you must learn to work hard and smart and steer your lifeboat wisely! as a li ling's sportswear commercial goes "everything is possible!" but not without sweat, devotion, and tears sometimes!
life is a long journey, during which we are surely going to face many challenges, experience lots of failures, and equally, many opportunities are waving to us, while sweet rewards are waiting for us! to transform these opportunities into fruitful results, or turn those challenges and failures into valuable assets, we must learn to seize the good ones and not to retreat lightly in front of difficulties.

(一) 活动目的：
为了增强班级成员内部的凝聚力，增强同学们的内部协作能力，同时营造良好的运动氛围，让同学形成良好的生活方式，增强同学的运动意识，以良好的身体素质迎接每天的学习和工作，感受亚运精神，打造健康新生活，特此举办趣味篮球赛活动。

4月28日早上
(四) 活动地点：
学校篮球场（内场或外场）
(五) 活动对象：
电子商务（网络营销）第1支部全体成员
(六) 活动内容:1、活动形式：
仿照nba全明星赛的比赛项目，进行分组团体积分赛
2、活动简述：
先确定6名种子选手，将全班同学以抽签形式分为6个组，每组1名种子选手+2男2女（共30人参加，剩下9名担任评委、裁判、工作人员或后勤人员）。比赛中将有多个项目的比赛，每一组成员分别参与到这些比赛当中，决出各组的比赛名次，然后根据名次累计相应的积分（第一名10分，第二名9分，第三名8分……以此类推），全部比赛项目结束后，根据各组的总积分依次排名（如遇到两支队伍积分相同，则由组委会抽签决定加赛项目），并对前3名小组颁发相应奖品。
3、活动用具：
篮球5个左右，计时器2个、评分表、笔、相机
4、嘉宾邀请：
发邀请涵，邀请第2支部的同学过来观看比赛，而且邀请两名第2支部的同学作为部分比赛的评委。
5、具体项目流程：比赛项目一：远投大赛（用时约30分钟）
每个小组派2名组员进行投篮（男女搭配不限，但女投篮会得到1.5倍积分），其余3名协助投篮员，限时2分钟，男子必须站在三分线以外投篮，姿势角度自选，投中一个有1分，女子必须站在罚球线投篮，姿势角度自选，投中一个有1.5分，全部小组结束该项比赛后，如果遇到积分相同，则进行加赛，规则同上所述。工作人员：计时员1名、统计人员2名
比赛项目二：运球技巧赛（用时约20分钟）
每个小组5名成员分别按照规定的路线进行运球，运球要符合篮球规则，运球到一定范围内不限姿势进行投篮（投中不扣分，投不中可以选择补投，最后还是不中的在总成绩上扣1分），按照规定线路返回，然后轮到下一名组员依照上述规定来完成运球上篮，其他组员不能协助。计时员将统计5名队员完成运球上篮动作的总时间，时间最短者即为该项目冠军。工作人员：裁判员3名、计时员1名
比赛项目三：定点投篮大赛(用时约30分钟)
每组的5名队员站在5个不同的投篮点进行投篮，将投篮位置编号，按顺序投篮，每个投篮点可以投5个球，投中1个得1分，投不中没得分。完成5个投篮点的小组之后分数最高的小组就是该项目的冠军。比赛共设置5个投篮点，分别是：右侧45度3分处，左侧45度3分处，圈顶三分处，左侧45度两分处和右侧45度两分处。工作人员：裁判1名，统计员2名
比赛项目四：花式上篮大赛（用时约30分钟）
每个小组派出2男1女进行比赛，上篮运动员自选花式进行上篮表演并接受评委打分，打分从最低6分至最高10分，如果上篮失败，有2次补上机会，如果补上再次失败，评委酌情减分。各小组比赛后统计分数，如果遇到两组分数相同，则两组各派一名代表进行加赛，规则同上。在评选团队奖的.同时，由评委评选出“最佳花式上篮”。工作人员：裁判1名，评委5名。
最后环节：颁奖

(七) 注意事项：
1、场地可能会因为雨后湿滑，需要注意安全。2、比赛场地人流量较大，需要注意随身物品的安全。3、比赛过程中可能会有一些小意外发生，需要准备常用的救伤用品。4、活动需要自备水、自备雨桑5、活动场地初定于外场，天气原因就转移到内常
(八) 预期效果：
1、通过此次趣味篮球赛，让各组成员之间有更深入的沟通和交流，打造和谐团支部。2、通过此次活动，唤醒各位忙于学习的同学的体育锻炼意识，打造健康新生活。3、在亚运会即将到来之前，让同学们感受运动的激情，感受亚运新风。

Yet，even during those dreadful times，some afflicted people remained optimistic. Instead of wearing neutral white masks，some people turned to colorful ones and thus display a happy mood. And some creative people dubbed SARS to mean“Smile And Remain Smiling .” I was deeply touched by their optimistic，nearly forgetting that we are still in a battle，people who survive these kinds of circumstances，decide in their minds to carry on in spite of the overwhelming odds.
Laid-off workers typically regarded as the victims of economic advancement，are subject to desperation that being unemployed has brought on them. But encouragingly，we have witnessed some of them striving hard to rebuild confidence toward life and discover new opportunities for demonstrating their values.
Although we cannot choose our appearance，inborn gifts and even avoid unexpected disasters and adversities，we do have the privilege to choose to live optimistically，to love our lives，to have dreams，and to cherish hopes.
Every morning when we get up，we have a choice of how we want to approach life that day. As for me，I choose to be cheerful.

I have a great family, a great teachers, great school and great classmates. But most at all, I have a great life. A great school life. Maybe that’s what makes me happy everyday, being refreshed every morning, instead of feeling distressed and sluggish.
I feel weird sometimes, thinking the world is rotating and recycling around and around, but not feeling anything of it. But I feel very gay, thinking, even if there are many things we don’t know, nobody will be mad at you, because the teachers will educate you to learn Mathematics, Chinese, English…..
